Our Philosophy - Function First

Function first. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t matter how good it looks. We’re always looking out for what’s best for the patient’s overall health and the health of their teeth in particular.

Is Dr. Greenwood the right dentist for you?

The patient that fits well into Dr. Greenwood’s practice is the one who truly believes in a conservative approach to dental health. He/she wants to do everything reasonable to pretect the integrity of his/her oral cavity and understands the time and money investment necessary to achieve that goal; however, hearing all the options available along with anticipated costs and pros and cons is definitely appreciated. Many dentists seem to forget that doing nothing is an option, and it comes with consequences just like every other option. Sometimes, doing nothing is actually the desireable option. Dr. Greenwood’s patients typically don’t want to be pressured into unnecessary or purely esthetic procedures, although a discussion of what those possibilities might be would certainly be welcome, once (not every visit).

Dr. Greenwood’s conservative, logical, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach is increasingly unique. His common sense attitude generally results in a treatment plan that’s acceptable to even the most skeptical or finically strapped individuals. When you first walk into his office, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces and dental equipment that was installed over 40 years ago. It’s old, but it still does the job; however, all the tools, handpieces and materials are new and state of the art. You’ll see computers and digital radiograph equipment as well as the old fashion cuspidor and personal water cup.
